Get ready to sing and dance along with a cast of musical animals! Join us for a special showing of Sing, an animated movie all about music, making friends, and showing off your special talents. Watch as an eclectic group of animals, ranging from a shy elephant to a boisterous mouse, all band together to put on a one-of-a-kind concert!
Did you know coffee stains can be used to make silly monsters? Or that these monsters each have their own backstories and adventures? Visit the Museum for a reading of short stories from The Coffeemonsters Book, written by Stefan Kunhigk, while sipping hot cocoa (coffee for the adults!) and munching on treats. Then, families will make their own book of coffee-stain monsters and short stories.
What communities do you belong to? What are some things we can do as part of a community to make positive change? Visit the Museum for a reading of “I am We: A Story of Community,” written by Susan Verde, while sipping hot cocoa and munching on treats! Then, families will make their own community-inspired art project.
Go on an adventure with Sophie Mouse! Inspired by The Adventures of Sophie Mouse series by Connecticut author Poppy Green, this program will bring to life some of Sophie’s fun-filled escapades in the woodland village of Silverlake Forest. Families can hop on lily pads, craft with flowers, and design their own make-believe forest filled with whimsical woodland characters!
Escape the heat with the beats and melodies of music! Join us for an interactive day of musical discovery through fun classes, hands-on experiences, crafts, snacks, and more.
