Behind-the-Scenes Tour: 100 Years of Connecticut Fashion

Connecticut Museum of Culture and History 1 Elizabeth St, Hartford

We'll share the story of fashion in Connecticut with everything from wedding dresses to corsets, but we'll also explore how women worked to secure their health, freedom, and political participation, a story that shouldn't be eclipsed by what they wore. Visit storage and collection areas not normally open to the public, and learn how the CMCH preserves the stories of Connecticut.

A 45-minute presentation by Joe Waxman, CMCH Member & Volunteer, will be followed by Exhibit Tours of Beatrice Fox Auerbach: The Woman, Her World & Her Wardrobe at 12:00 pm. Refreshments provided.
