Explore a day in the life of soldiers, battlefield nurses, and women working on the homefront during the Civil War. Through close-looking at a variety of primary sources, including letters, diary entries, and newspapers, children will explore the variety of roles and responsibilities of women during the Civil War. Then, tune into a live, virtual workshop to learn about the challenges and hardships experienced by soldiers in the Union Army.
This workshop is recommended for ages 9-12. The fee is $14 per student per workshop for non-members, or $10 per student per workshop for CMCH members.
