In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission every day, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket… for free.
Held during Women’s History Month, this “special edition” of Smithsonian’s signature “Museum Day Live!” event will encourage all people, and particularly women and girls of color, to explore their nation’s museums, cultural institutions, zoos, aquariums, parks and libraries.
The CMCH will be offering free public tours at 2:00 pm of the exhibition Beatrice Fox Auerbach: The Woman, Her World and Her Wardrobe; this will also be the last day of the temporary exhibition Connecticut Captured: A 21st Century Look at an American Classic.
Tickets printed from the Smithsonian Magazine’s website are good for one person and one guest. Free admission is for gallery visits and free public tours, does not include admission to the Waterman Research Center, Behind the Scenes Tours, or Hands-On History Workshops.
