We invite CMCH members and special guests to join us for the opening reception of Growing Up in Connecticut. Whether you’re a member of the Silent Generation, a Baby Boomer, a Gen Xer or a Millenial, this new exhibit will explore the question “What was it like when you were a kid?” Every generation grew up facing challenges and opportunities and experienced the emotional highs and lows of childhood and adolescence: common experiences everyone can remember and share at any age. But unique circumstances and events shaped each generation as well. To promote cross-generational understanding and conversation, the CMCH is collecting objects and stories about growing up in Connecticut. We’re gathering and sharing these stories through an online gallery and an exhibit at the CMCH.
RSVP by Friday, May 13 by phone (860) 236-5621 x 238 or by email rsvp@chs.org.
