Help us welcome the Hartford Symphony Orchestra when they visit the CMCH for a special Free First Saturday! Kids will have a blast playing at the HSO Instrument Petting Zoo, trying out dozens of musical instruments from the violin and the saxophone to the tuba and the glockenspiel. Come learn how playing a musical instrument is a whole-body experience; you’ll feel each instrument’s vibrations humming differently from your head to your toes! Petting Zoo sessions will be offered at 10:30, 11:00, and 11:45, and each session will last approximately 25 minutes. From 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, there will also be a noisemaker craft available for children to make in the auditorium lobby.
This program is free and open to the public, and great for ages 4 and up. Please note that this program will be presented with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.
