Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and NEA’s Read Across America Day at the CMCH! Families are invited to join us for a reading of the Dr. Seuss classic Green Eggs and Ham at 10:15, 11:15, or 12:15, where we’ll learn that weird things can surprise us if we give them a try. In the spirit of Sam-I-Am, kids can create wacky colorful “food” of the future, like purple mashed potatoes or blue spaghetti. We’ll also look at funny little oddballs of the past – kids can vote on if they would have tried old-fashioned inventions featured in our That’s Weird exhibit, and take a funky historic recipe to try out at home.
This drop-in program is free and open to the public, and great for all ages. For more information, please contact Corinne Swanson at (860) 236-5621 x222 or email corinne_swanson@chs.org. Thanks to Berkshire Bank for their support of this program.
