Have you ever wondered how clothes were made long ago? Families will practice the many skills needed to make clothing, including “sewing,” carding wool, and using drop spindles to make yarn and learn all about looms with members of the Hartford Artisans Weaving Center. Then, they will dress up paper dolls in clothing they design using inspiration from items in the Museum’s collection.
This program is included with the cost of Museum admission and is great for children of all ages. This is a drop-in program; no pre-registration required.
