Please join us at the Connecticut Museum for a program hosted by the Connecticut Valley Garden Club!
A vital and often overlooked ecological problem has grown worse and worse. Yet, the solutions are simple! Learn about the issue of excess light in the night skies, how urban sprawl and proliferation of ever brighter lighting has disrupted bird migration, decimated insect populations, confused fireflies, and affected human health. A panel of experts in their field will explore these issues and help us to learn about manageable solutions, in a discussion let by naturalist Diane Tucker. The panelists include Dr. Susan Masino, Craig Repasz, Leo Smith, and Avalon Owens.
This presentation is free and open to the public. Check-in begins at 5 pm, event begins at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
