Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Remembering G. Fox & Co.

*** We’re sorry, this tour is sold out! *** Shopping in Hartford from the 1950s through the 1990s was synonymous with its largest downtown department store. G. Fox is gone, but here at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, we’ve preserved an amazing collection of G. Fox memorabilia, store displays, and G. Fox & Co. branded products, from scotch to toilet paper.  We’ll take you into  storage and collection areas to see these items for yourself. Share your own happy memories of tea in the Connecticut Room, back-to-school shopping, and the holiday decorations that made your visit special.
