Explore life in the past! At August Adventures, children can discover Connecticut’s history with a week of games, crafts, gallery visits, and more!
History Detectives programs run Monday through Friday and are designed for children ages 7-12. In Session 2, children will be inventors and scientists as we discover how technology has changed over hundreds of years of Connecticut history. From sewing machines and typewriters to bicycles and helicopters, we’ll look at famous and not-so-famous inventions that came from and affected the people of Connecticut. We’ll see what it was like to work in a 19th-century factory, try to type on an old-fashioned typewriter, and design inventions of our own!
Register Online before July 15!
Session 2: Monday, August 22 to Friday, August 26
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
$150 per session for CMCH members, $200 per session for non-members
