Join us in learning the basics of linocut printmaking! In this workshop, led by artist Lara Miller, you will be guided through the whole “block print” process: from designing a pattern, transferring, carving, testing and printing your greeting cards to take home. No printmaking experience required, and people of all artistic abilities are welcome. Even if you think you can’t draw, you can print! All the tools and materials will be provided; however, participants are encouraged to bring any print making tools they wish to use.
Lara Miller is a non-profit professional, freelance artist & consultant, writer, and craftsperson. Her various art and craft forms consist of block printing, decorative carving, sewing, embroidery, painting, pottery, and more, and she has taught classes in most of those crafts. Originally from Kentucky and West Virginia, she now loves living in Suffield, Connecticut.
This workshop will be structured for the beginner, but all levels of expertise are encouraged to register! Suitable for ages 16 and up.
