The Connecticut Museum is honored to host a special event featuring the screening of the film “Aftershocks of Disaster,” and a discussion with the filmmaker and editor of the accompanying book. The film examines the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico offering a poignant look at the resilience and creativity of the island’s artists and activists who are forging new futures amidst the ruins left by the island’s compounding disasters.
Following the screening, attendees will have the unique opportunity to participate in a discussion, Q&A session and book signing with the film’s creator, Princeton Professor and NYT contributing writer, Yarimar Bonilla. Our moderator for the evening will be House Majority Leader Jason Rojas.
Light refreshments will be served.
