Rescheduled from August 6
This week’s story is “Drenched in Light“, by Zora Neale Hurston, an author who achieved fame in the early 1940s but whose work was subsequently largely forgotten, only to be revived in the 1970s. The story is often described as “a portrait of the artist as a young Black woman”.
