The Southern New England Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program connects masters of a folk or traditional art form
with qualified students to teach artistic skills and cultural knowledge through the classic apprenticeship model of
regular, informal, intensive one-on-one learning over several months. The program knits together artists from the same
ethnic or occupational group across state lines to share traditions and stimulate new learning. Find out more
The exhibit and public events are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Connecticut Office of the
Arts/DECD, and the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation.
